Hailie Mathers: Eminem ‘Proud’ Of His 24-Year-Old Daughter – ‘Hotboxin” Interview With Mike Tyson
Mike Tyson brought Eminem as a special guest for an episode of his Hotboxin’ podcast.
The 47-year-old rapper told Tyson that Hailie Mathers, his daughter, is “the only lady” he adores.
He explained that “she’s made [him] proud for sure. She’s graduated from college,” and jokes “no babies, she has a boyfriend, but she’s doing good,”
24-year-old Mathers graduated from Chippewa Valley High School before successfully completing a psychology degree at Michigan State University where she met Evan McClintock, her boyfriend.
Eminem told the retired boxer, “I have a niece that I have helped raised, too, that’s pretty much like a daughter to me, and she is 26 … and I have a younger one that’s 17 now. So when I think about my accomplishments, that’s probably the thing I’m the most proud of is being able to raise kids.”
Mathers also believes it is important to keep children grounded when they’re growing up. He explained, “It’s important to keep your kids grounded when they’re in a situation like I have, it’s very important. People also think too that money just buys happiness, [but] that absolutely is not the truth. You’ve got to be right inside, otherwise none of this s*** means nothing.”
