Emma Watson Reveals Moment She “Fell In Love” With Tom Felton

Emma Watson has described the moment she “fell in love” with her Harry Potter co-star, Tom Felton.
The 31-year-old actress, who portrayed Hermione Granger in the film franchise, has been open about her childhood crush towards Felton in the past, though the pair have never dated. Both stars are frequently pictured together and appear to share a close friendship.
Now, in a sneak peek from the upcoming Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts shared by Entertainment Tonight, Watson revealed the exact moment her crush on Felton began.
“I walked into the room where we were having tutoring,” she said. “The assignment that had been given was to draw what you thought God looked like, and Tom had drawn a girl with a backwards cap on a skateboard. And I just don’t know how to say it – I just fell in love with him.”
“I used to come in every day and look for his number on the call sheet, it was number seven, and if his name was on the call sheet, it was an extra exciting day.” Watson added, “He was three years above me and so for him, he was like, ‘You’re like my little sister’.”
Felton, who played Harry Potter’s school rival Draco Malfoy in the films, also admitted that he knew of Watson’s crush.
“I became very protective of her,” he said. “Yeah, I’ve always had a soft spot for her and that continues to this day. There’s always been something that’s like, I don’t know, a kinship.”
Harry Potter 20th Anniversary: Return to Hogwarts arrives on HBO Max on January 1, 2022.
