Evangeline Lilly, who played Kate on the hit long-running ABC series Lost, isn’t letting the coronavirus outbreak take away her freedom.

The 40-year-old actress has continued to let her children go to gymnastics and mingle amongst other crowds — because she believes the coronavirus has been blown out of proportion.

She feels the pandemic status could have a detrimental twist to the rest of the population; perhaps causing more harm than good by limiting social activities.

Writing on Instagram, The Hobbit actress said, “Just dropped my kids off at gymnastics camp. They all washed their hands before going in. They are playing and laughing. #businessasusual.”

According to Lilly, her own father has stage 4 leukaemia and currently lives with him to aid his care. She explained, “I am also immune-compromised at the moment.”

Many are claiming her actions could be a danger to her family, but Evangeline disagrees and wants her freedom over a fit bill of health — in other words, she won’t heed the government officials advice to self-quarantine, nor will her children.
