Family Of Anthony Johnson Asks For The “Fake Love” To Stop

The family of late comedian and Friday actor, Anthony Johnson, has requested an end to the “fake love” they have received in the wake of his death.

In an emotional video interview with TMZ, Johnson’s wife, Lexi, pleaded for an end to the “fake love” she was receiving. She said that the family was struggling to find the money needed to pay for Johnson’s funeral and that what they really needed was some financial support.

“Y’all say you love him – where’s the love? You’re not helping,” stated Lexi, explaining that the family needed almost $20,000 for the funeral service.

Adding that they had set up a GoFundMe to pay for the funeral, she asked well-wishers to contribute if they could. She said that she would have to have Johnson cremated if they didn’t find the money needed.

“If you guys want to give or they want to give, I would appreciate it,” she said. “If they don’t, that’s them. But please stop the fake love. Please stop the fake calls. Please stop the fake texts. Please. Just for our family. And when I say our family I mean me, the kids and the grandkids. Just stop it. Just stop.”

“I apologise – I’m not going to worry about this,” Lexi said through tears.

“Whatever happens happens. It’s god’s will. I’m going to go to work in a couple of days. If I had the strength, I would go right now. But I don’t have the strength. It took everything in me to get on here and do this. I’mma be alright. We’re going to be okay.”

The family has so far raised just $1,085 of the $20,000 needed.
