Flavor Flav Arrested For Domestic Battery
Public Enemy co-founder Flavor Flav was arrested following a domestic disturbance earlier this month.
Law enforcement told TMZ that the star was “booked on a misdemeanour charge of domestic battery on Oct. 5 by the Henderson PD.”
The police responded to a domestic disturbance but William Jonathan Drayton Jr., aka Flavor Flav, had already been taken into custody by the time the police had arrived.
According to the criminal complaint, “Flav allegedly poked his finger on the alleged victim’s nose, grabbed her, threw her down and grabbed a phone out her hand.”
He has been officially charged with a misdemeanour battery constituting domestic violence – the City Attorney reports.
TMZ reached out to the rappers attorney, David Chesnoff, but they decided to not to speak to the media.
“In alleged domestic violence cases, there are often 2 sides to the story and we will explain our side in the courtroom and not in the media.”

Amid the controversy, he recently celebrated his 1-year sobriety mark.
