‘Fortnite’ Sued For Allegedly Stealing ‘Running Man’ Dance

The creators of the popular RPG video game Fortnite are being sued by the duo that claims to have made the Running Man dance.
According to legal documents seen by The Blast, Jared Nickens and Jaylen Brantley are suing the creators of the video game, saying Epic Games “capitalised on the Running Man’s popularity”.
The duo claims the company “did not credit Plaintiffs nor seek their consent to use, display, reproduce, sell, or create a derivative work based upon Plaintiffs Running Man dance or likeness”.
Jaylen and Jared, known as Plaintiffs, are using the creators of Fortnite for damages in excess of $5 million.
Plaintiffs are saying that Epic Games “made a financial fortune from unlawfully and unfairly stealing Plaintiffs’ and other artists’ creative expression and likeness without crediting or compensating these artists.
