Gabby Petito Cause Of Death Revealed By Coroner
22-year-old travel blogger Gabby Petito went missing on a road trip with her boyfriend Brian Laundrie, who is missing.
A coroner, Brent Blue, has revealed that Gabby was dead for a few weeks before her remains were found in a campsite with signs of strangulation.
Her body had been “outside in the wilderness for three to four weeks” before she was discovered on 20 September, the coroner said – BBC reports.
Mr. Blue would not confirm if an item was used to kill her. The toxicology report results have also not been shared, but it has been disclosed that the blogger was not pregnant at the time of death.
The case attracted international coverage and outrage amongst women.
“Unfortunately, this is only one of many deaths around the country of people who are involved in domestic violence and it’s unfortunate that these other deaths do not get as much coverage as this one,” the coroner adds.
Officials are in contact with Gabby‘s family about transferring her remains back to her family.
