‘RoboCop 2’ & ‘Fresh Prince of Bel-Air’ Actress Galyn Görg Dead At 55 After Losing Cancer Battle

Galyn Görg has died at age 55, a representative has confirmed.

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air actress was just one day away from turning 56 before passing away on Tuesday as she was being treated for cancer in Hawaii.

According to her rep, she had “quietly and privately fought a good fight” as she battled cancer, saying, “Galyn was a beautiful soul who loved life, art, dance and was a phenomenal woman who I called not only a client but a good friend … She will be missed beyond measure.”

In a saddening discovery, Görg was found to have “cancer throughout her entire body and lungs.” with the GoFundMe page reading, “Galyn Görg was and is a huge part of our family, she means so much to every one of us. We were unaware of just how sick she was as the diagnosis was a shock to the entire family. We hastily bought tickets to Oahu without a second thought, as she was getting treatment there.”

She played roles in many films and TV series, including RoboCop 2, Twin Peaks, The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air, Point Break, Lost and Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.
