Gigi Goode Reveals She Is A “Transgender Non-Binary Person”
The RuPaul’s Drag Race season 12 star Gigi Goode has opened up about her transition.
Goode told her 1.2 million Instagram followers that she has recently undergone facial gender-affirming surgery.
The RPDR icon revealed two years ago that she is gender-fluid.
Goode said she now “very much” identifies with and now “leans more towards” the non-binary side of the spectrum.
Goode candidlyspoke for just over 8 minutes on her Instagram about the surgery and her journey thus far.
“Right at the beginning of the year, I decided to begin the process of hormone replacement therapy,” said Goode.
“Which for those of you who don’t know, is the process of taking oestrogen and testosterone blockers as a means of bringing in the woman and pushing out the man.”
Goode said that lockdown was a catalyst in her figuring out who she is.
“If the world hadn’t shut down,” Goode added, “I really wouldn’t have to process it further.”
Goode initially came out as “gender fluid” on her season of RPDR.
“I do identify as a trans, non-binary person, but I prefer she/her pronouns,” she said, adding that she will be known as Gigi “from here on out”.
