Gigi Hadid Sued For $150,000 Over Zayn Malik Photograph

Gigi Hadid has been hit with a federal lawsuit after she posted a photograph of her ex-boyfriend Zayn Malik.
The 24-year-old singer has been sued by Robert O’Neil accusing her of copyright infringement over a photo used on her Instagram story.
According to legal documentation, seen by unCrazed, Gigi — real name Jelena Noura Hadid — allegedly did not licence the photograph for her Instagram Story.
The lawsuit reads, “Gigi Hadid did not license the Photograph from Plaintiff for her Instagram Story, nor did Gigi Hadid have Plaintiff’s permission or consent to publish the Photograph on her Instagram Story.
Gigi Hadid infringed Plaintiff’s copyright in the Photograph by reproducing and publicly displaying the Photograph on her Instagram Story. Gigi Hadid is not, and has never been, licensed or otherwise authorised to reproduce, publically display, distribute and/or use the Photograph.”
Robert is seeking in excess of $150,000 and wants Hadid to have to turn over her accounting, saying that she “be required to account for all profits, income, receipts, or other benefits derived by Defendant as a result of its unlawful conduct.”
The image in question was captioned by “My Manz” and “Muze” — and appeared on her account for 24 hours before automatically deleting as part of Instagram’s 24-hour story mode.
Zayn and Hadid officially split in January of this year and since then, the fashion model has dated Tyler Cameron from The Bachelorette.
