Godfather Actor, Carmine Caridi, Dead Aged 85

UPDATE at 17:20 GMT: It is believed that Carmine took a nasty fall and was hospitalised on April 25, 2019, where he received treatment for back injuries, which led to him developing pneumonia but was seen to be stable and was responsive the day before his death.
The Godfather actor, Carmine Caridi, has died aged 85 after going into a coma.
He played Carmine Rosato in the first sequel, along with other roles including TV shows such as Starsky and Hitch, Taxi, Simon & Simon and many other noteworthy productions.
In The Godfather Part III, he played Albert Volpe, which was an interesting way to keep Carmine in the franchise.
He’s also one of the few people to have been expelled from the Academy of Motion Picture and Sciences for sharing movie screeners in 2004.
It is unclear what has led to his health deteriorating, but we are told he fell into a coma and never regained consciousness. Carmine was hospitalised at Cedars[Sinai hospital in Los Angeles.
Rest in Peace.
