Gun Charges Dropped Against DaBaby

The L.A. County D.A. has dismissed the 2021 gun case against DaBaby.
According to TMZ, the charges related to the rapper’s arrest over a year ago at Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills. Law enforcement reportedly surrounded DaBaby and his entourage after receiving a tip that the group was carrying weapons and subsequently uncovered a loaded handgun in their vehicle.
Though prosecutors were reportedly still working on the case, the D.A. has now dismissed the charges due to a lack of evidence, citing an inability to identify the firearm’s owner.
Responding to the decision, Dababy’s lawyer Drew Findling said: “We’ve been 100% confident in Mr Kirk’s innocence since the day of this incident and are appreciative that the Los Angeles District Attorney’s Office has made a similar determination.”
DaBaby continues to face charges for the assault of DaniLeigh’s brother at a bowling alley in February. The altercation was caught and camera, with law enforcement reportedly pursuing a felony charge of assault with a deadly weapon.
