According to The Hollywood Reporter, Berry has signed a new multi-picture deal with Netflix, wherein she will not only star in the feature films but also produce them.
In a statement, the actress said: “The Netflix team has not only been collaborative and creative, but extremely passionate and a delight to work with. I am beyond grateful for the partnership.”
Scott Stuber, head of original films at Netflix, also made a statement, adding that the streaming giant are thrilled to guide the Catwoman star through the next stage of her career.
“There are few people with a career like Halle Berry. She’s an award-winning actress, producer and as audiences saw this past week, she’s an incredible director,” he said.
“We’re thrilled to be in her corner as she delivers power in front of and behind the camera in ‘Bruised‘ and look forward to telling more stories together,” he added.
Bruised, which released on Netflix last week, has been watched for 47.7 million hours and topped Netflix charts in 71 countries.
