Harry Kane Tells Tottenham He Wants To Leave Club This Summer
From soaring through the youth ranks to achieving international acclaim, Harry Kane has been a longtime player for the Tottenham Hotspur squad. It has now been reported that he has told the club he wants to leave in the summer.
The 27-year-old striker and England captain has displayed some concerns that have been regarded as the first step of an exit strategy. He has voiced frustrations at the club’s continued inability to achieve his ambition of winning major trophies despite him being a prolific goalscoring player.
The news has sparked great interest at Manchester United, Manchester City, and Chelsea. Each club is interested in a deal to buy Kane but, as he signed a 6-year contract with Spurs back in 2018, the cost may surpass £150million.
The Evening Standard has published Tottenham‘s statement. The club stresses that “focus is on finishing the season as strongly as possible. That’s what everyone should be focused on.”
