Ice Cube Exits Jack Black Comedy Over COVID-19 Vaccine

Ice Cube has officially exited Sony’s upcoming film, Oh Hell No, after declining requests to receive the Covid vaccine.

Sources for The Hollywood Reporter confirmed Ice Cube’s departure from the project, abandoning an alleged $9 million paycheck. He was due to appear in the comedy alongside Jack Black.

Production on the film, helmed by Kitao Sakurai, was due to begin in Hawaii this winter. Filming has now been pushed back to an unknown date while a replacement for Ice Cube is cast.

Oh Hell No reportedly follows the story of Sherman (Black), who falls in love with Will’s (Cube) mum. The former has only one thing to say about that: “Oh hell no.”
