Iconic 90’s Supermodels Lead Versace/Fendi Show

90’s icons Kate Moss, Amber Valletta and Naomi Campbell walk the runway at the Versace/Fendi joint mega-show.
The supermodels graced the catwalk and led a string of spectacular models, including Gigi Hadid and Emily Ratajkowski, at the ‘Fendace’ show.
“When two of the most iconic houses collaborate and switch it up = FENDACE,” Amber writes as she posts snaps of her and Kate – her “sister and partner in many crimes” – walking together.
The Versace Instagram account wrote “Discover the exclusive live runway event where @donatella_versace and @mrkimjones switched roles, revealing two iconic collections that celebrate their friendship,”

In a runway show made easily viewable by IGTV, we see 50 looks pummel the runway with Naomi Campbell closing the show in Fendi by Versace.
Jones of Fendi was quoted saying; “It was a design-off: we designed Versace and she designed Fendi. Remember these two houses are not in the same group: we’ve just done it as friends, and out of respect for each other. It’s never been planned as a commercial thing.”
Fashion blog High Fashion Talk summerised their feelings towards the show in a lenghty Instagam caption;

Vogue explains the merging of the brands; “What went down is that Kim Jones and Silvia Venturini Fendi of Fendi and Donatella Versace of Versace swapped houses—apparently for one night only—to design 25 looks for their erstwhile rivals.”

Designer Kim Jones shares that the idea to swap roles with Donatella Versace came about in February. “It was a design-off: we designed Versace and she designed Fendi,” he says.
The show was inspired by their love, friendship and respect for one another.
“We wanted to do something that was optimistic and fun as we return to live shows,” Kim continues, “and we wanted to do it because we love each other.”
