Iggy Azalea speaks out about mental health and has asked record labels to provide mental health professionals for their artists.

The 31-year-old singer wrote a series of tweets expressing her concern and anger that music artists are not supported by their record labels.

She advised that record labels hire a psychologist.

“I REALLY WISH record labels would all agree to make it mandatory to hire at least ONE psychologist per label,” she began, “almost EVERY artist in recent times has expressed struggling with the level of hate & pressure.”

“Sports teams do it for their athletes, why not music labels?” she questions.

As her thread continues, she calls out higher members of the music business.

“There’s actually only about 4 guys running the entire music business so it would be pretty easy to hold them accountable and make them implement a change across their businesses.”

Azalea lists Chief Executive Officer of Universal Music Group Lucian Grainge and CEO of Sony Music Entertainment Rob Stringer.

She states that they have “85% coverage across the labels.”

Iggy has previously spoken about her own struggles with mental health.
