Influencer Kaitlyn McCaffery In A Coma After Accident

Kaitlyn McCaffrey has been hospitalised in Bali following a scooter accident which left her in a coma.

The 27-year-old travel influencer was allegedly returning to her residence in Bali when the accident occurred. She was discovered unconscious on the side of the road on July 31.

A GoFundMe page has been established by her family to raise the money needed to return McCaffrey to the US. The page, which was created less than a week ago, has already surpassed it’s $250,000 goal with $303,552 raised.

California-born McCaffrey is said to have suffered a “traumatic brain injury along with multiple other serious injuries”.

“Two young men found her on a remote road, alone, unconscious, broken and bleeding. Without their help, she surely would have died,” reads the GoFundMe page. “It has been a challenge to communicate with the hospital staff due to the immense language barrier. Kaitlyn is frighting for her life.”

“Due to strict Covid-19 restrictions, the Indonesian government has denied her family’s repeated requests to travel to be with Kaitlyn. Thankfully, Kaitlyn has many loving friends who are by her side in Bali and are providing family with updates around the clock. The family is doing everything they can to get to Bali.”

A day before her accident, McCaffrey took to Instagram to express her happiness in Bali. “Two months in Bali! Loving where I live, the people I have met so far, and the warm warm air. So happy to call this place home.”
