Jack Black is aiming for an early retirement after the release of Jumanji: The Next Level, after an interview suggested he was ready for shrinking his schedule.

The Tenacious D bandmate said during an interview with Balance on Tuesday that he could be recording another album with Kyle Gass.

He also made the surprising comment that he could be set on doing “maybe one more movie,” before saying, “I’ve been saying for a long time that [Jumanji] is the last movie. We’ll see. I’m looking to wrap it up pretty soon. Ride off into the sunset.”

In a newly surfaced video, Jack retracts those comments and brands them as “fake news”, saying it’s “too early” to retire, and that he’s “only getting started” before suggesting other ways he will stay in Hollywood, “I spend too much time away from home. Maybe I’ll do a TV show here in town, so I can work the 9-5 and then get back home.

I don’t really look down the road. I kind of take it day by day. And if something comes up, you know, obviously if [Quentin] Tarantino comes a-knocking, I’m gonna do that movie!”
