Jack Dorsey Steps Down As Twitter CEO
Twitter co-founder Jack Dorsey has stepped down from his role as chief executive at the social media company.
In a statement released, Dorsey confirmed that he would be stepping down from the role as he believes that’s it’s “severely limiting” for Twitter to be “founder led.”
“There’s a lot of talk about the importance of a company being ‘founder-led.’ Ultimately, I believe that’s severely limiting and a single point of failure,” he said.
Twitter Chief Technology Officer Parag Agrawal will replace Dorsey as CEO.
Dorsey added that he will stay on Twitter’s board until at least early 2022, so that he can oversee the transition.
