Jada Pinkett Smith Addresses Infamous Oscars Slap During ‘Red Table Talk’ Episode

Jada Pinkett Smith has addressed the infamous Oscars slap that Will Smith carried out on comedian Chris Rock.

In an episode of Red Table Talk, the 50-year-old actress said, “My deepest hope is that these two intelligent, capable men have an opportunity to heal, talk this out and reconcile.”

Pinkett Smith is under the belief that they both are needed now, and believes that both of them should come together and have a face-to-face conversation about the incident, acknowledging that neither have spoken amid the controversial slap.

As a result of the slap, Smith was banned from the Oscars ceremonies for the next 10 years after he reacted to a joke about Jada having a bald head.

It was revealed that she suffers from alopecia, and the joke was evidently bad timing for the pair. At the beginning of this season of Red Table Talk, a statement was given saying that the Smith family were focussing on deep healing.
