Jake Gyllenhaal And Vanessa Kirby To Star In ‘Suddenly’

Jake Gyllenhaal and Venessa Kirby are set to star in Thomas Bidegain’s survival thriller, ‘Suddenly‘.

Bidegain has written for titles including, A Prophet, Rust And Bone and Dheepan.

According to Deadline, the new project is based on a French-language novel by Isabelle Autissier – ‘Soudain Suels‘. The story follows a couple who become stranded on an island in the South Atlantic and must fight for survival when their dream journey becomes a nightmare. The novel shines a light on the dynamics of their relationship and also holds a mirror up to modern society.

Studiocanal is bankrolling the project. Other titles financed by the studio include, Cat Person and Baghead.

Jake Gyllenhaal recently starred in upcoming thrillers The Guilty, and Ambulance. Vanessa Kirby has been enjoying her casting success as a returning character for Mission: Impossible 7 and Mission: Impossible 8.
