James Van Der Beek ‘Drastic Changes’ Led Family To Move Out Of LA

James Van Der Beek has opened up about moving his family from Los Angeles to Texas.

The 43-year-old Dawson’s Creek actor has shared the reason behind the ‘drastic changes’ that led to his family moving from one state to another.

His wife, Kimberly and their five children, Olivia, Joshua, Annabel, Emilia and Gwendolyn are now living in Texas for a new “big adventure” after leaving their home state in Los Angeles.

Writing a post on Instagram, Van Der Beek explained, “And… we’ve landed. In the past ten months, we’ve had two late-term pregnancy losses, each of which put @vanderkimberly in the hospital, we spend Christmas break thinking she had a tumour (the doctor was wrong, thank god), I was prematurely booted off a reality dancing show I was favoured to win in front of the whole world, and my mom died.

And a shut-down … All of that led to some drastic changes in our lives, and dreams, and priorities… and landed us here. Overflowing with profound gratitude today.”
