Jamie Spears Voices Objection To Britney’s Replacement Conservator

Jamie Spears has voiced his objection to the man his daughter wishes to replace him as conservator.
In a new filing obtained by TMZ, Jamie Spears has expressed his concerns that John Zabel may not be qualified to manage his daughter’s $60 million estate.
According to the documents, Spears believed his daughter Britney and her lawyer, Mathew Rosengart, have provided very limited information on the proposed replacement. Though he says he is aware Zabel is a CPA with “executive experience in finance and in the entertainment industry”; Spears still believes he is underqualified for the position.
Jamie Spears has acted as the financial conservator of his daughter’s fortune since 2008. He gave up control of her personal affairs in 2019, instead delegating the position to a second conservator, Jodi Montgomery.
In a surprise move earlier this month, lawyers for Jamie Spears filed a motion to dismiss his daughter’s conservatorship entirely. The filing stated that Spears wanted what was “best for his daughter”.
The move supports a petition made by Britney and her lawyer, though they are seeking to replace Jamie in the meantime, citing his alleged abuse. Her father remains adamant, however, that there are little to no grounds to remove him as conservator.
A hearing over the conservatorship is due to take place tomorrow (29 September).
