Jason Reitman Pays Tribute To Late Father Ivan Reitman

Jason Reitman, director of Ghostbusters: Afterlife, has paid tribute to his late father Ivan Reitman.
The filmmaker, who was best known for directing films like Ghostbuster and Kindergarten Cop, sadly passed away on Saturday at the age of seventy-five at his home in Montecito, California.
Leading tributes was Reitman’s son Jason, who wrote on Twitter: “I’ve lost my hero. All I want is the chance to tell my father one more story.”
“He came from a family of survivors and turned his legacy into laughter. Thank you for the kind messages. Enjoy his movies and remember his storytelling gifts. Nothing would make him happier.”

Figures from the world of screen and television also paid tribute to Reitman, including Paul Feig, who wrote: “I’m in absolute shock. I had the honor of working so closely with Ivan and it was always such a learning experience.
One of the most special moments to me was after our last test screening of Ghostbusters:ATC after we did some reshoots and our scores went through the roof. Ivan met me out in the lobby and said “I’m so happy for you I feel like crying.” That’s the kind of generous man he was. ❤️ pic.twitter.com/Y502HZp8Ck

Rest in Peace, Ivan.
