The Skyfall co-stars opened up about their friendship in a discussion for Variety’s Actors on Actors. Stating that they had a lot in common, Bardem pointed out that even their birthdays were just days apart.
“We actually celebrated our birthday together once,” Bardem revealed.
“I seem to remember you were in drag, but I know that’s a whole other story,” laughed Craig.
“Coming out of a cake!” added Bardem. “I was supposed to be the Bond Girl that night, and oh my god, I was.”
The pair were praised for their on-screen chemistry with Bardem labelled one of the best Bond villains in recent memory for his portrayal of Raoul Silva.
Skyfall ultimately went on to become the highest-grossing Bond film of all time, taking in a whopping $1.1 billion globally.
