Jay-Z Becomes The Most Grammy Nominated Artist

Jay-Z has become the most nominated artist at the Grammys after receiving three nominations at the 2022 awards. 

The 51-year-old rapper had previously tied the record held by Quincy Jones who has eighty nominations, but now reached the top spot with eight-three nominations.

Jay-Z has been nominated in eighteen of the twenty-two Grammy years since 1999 when the first nomination was marked for his album, Vol. 2…Hard Knock Life.

It has been reported by Variety that although he is the most nominated artist he boycotted the ceremony as DMX had not been recognised despite landing two number one albums in a year.

The ceremony for the 2022 Grammy awards will be held next year on January 31.
