Jay-Z Compares Beyoncé To Michael Jackson During Twitter Debate

Jay-Z has caused a stir on Twitter after comparing his wife Beyoncé to music legend Michael Jackson.

During an appearance in a Twitter Space hosted by Alicia Keys on Wednesday, Jay-Z said that his wife Beyoncé is an “evolution” of the late Jackson.

“Bey’s gonna be mad at [me] for saying this but Michael Jackson never had a Coachella. She’s an evolution of him because she watched him at nine. And the kids are the same,” he said.

“Find me a concert that’s as culturally relevant and thrilling as Coachella. Beyoncé is gonna be one of the best singers we ever heard because she is such a student,” he added.

Many fans of Beyoncé took offence to Jay-Z comments saying he shouldn’t compare the singer to the King of Pop.

“Respectfully Michael Jackson never needed anything like Coachella throughout his lifetime. Michael Jackson has had double the audience of anything Beyoncé ever had,” another fan wrote.
