Jean Paul Gaultier Debuts Ready-To-Wear

Jean Paul Gaultier have taken to Instagram to announce the unveiling of their new ready-to-wear collection.

With many luxury fashion brands finding different ways to attract the more environmentally conscious Gen Z customer, and push themselves into the digital age, it seems only appropriate that JPG have taken to social media to announce their collection.

The brand have been advertising the collection using Quentin Tarantino style movie posters.

The short film that showed the collection was a collaboration with Torso, who has previously worked with Mugler on their Spring Summer 2021 short film.

The collection is described as “this time, the studio revisits the iconic punk aesthetic so dear to the fashion world’s Enfant Terrible. A unisex, inclusive, collaborative collection that dares to be different.”

Jean Paul Gaultier has also recently made headlines for launching a rental service for their iconic 80’s and 90’s garments .

According to The Guardian “In a move expected to position the French fashion house at the forefront of a new dawn for luxury retail, clients will be able to borrow from an archive spanning more than 30,000 pieces, created by France’s beloved enfant terrible during his 50-year career as a designer.”
