Jeff Lowe Will Claim ‘Tiger King’ Erik Cowie’s Body

Earlier last week, former zookeeper Erik Cowie died in a New York Apartment, and due to the Tiger King star having no family to claim his body, another co-star will be taking the steps to.

Jeff Lowe is taking matters into his own hands by making plans to pay to have Cowie cremated soon after the autopsy is completed.

These measures are being taken as Erik does not have anybody else to make funeral arrangements for him, and the Lowe family want to give him a proper sendoff rather than his body going into a mass-grave burial.

According to TMZ, Jeff and his wife Lauren Lowe are aiming to have the service streamed on Facebook Live to give friends and fans a chance to say goodbye as they spread his ashes with his favourite Liger, called Django, that died last year.

In New York, the law states that if family are unknown or non-existent, a close friend is eligible to claim a body.
