Jerry Seinfeld To Direct And Star In ‘Unfrosted’

Jerry Seinfeld will star in and direct ‘Unfrosted‘, set to feature on Netflix.

Unfrosted is a comedy, inspired by a joke made by Seinfeld on the invention of the Pop-Tart. The film was co-written between Seinfeld, Spike Feresten and Barry Marder.

Deadline confirmed that Netflix had secured the rights to the new project.

“Stuck at home watching endless sad faces on TV, I thought this would be a good time to make something based on pure silliness.” Seinfeld said in a statement. “So we took my Pop-Tart stand-up bit from my last Netflix special and exploded it into a giant, crazy comedy movie.”

Seinfeld is best known for his 1989 sitcom, Seinfeld – co-created with Larry David.
