Jessica Henwick Almost Quit Acting Before Being Offered ‘The Matrix Resurrections’

Jessica Henwick, who plays Bugs in The Matrix Resurrections, has revealed that she nearly quit acting before getting the part.  

In a new interview with /film, the 29-year-old actress explained that she “was in a weird space” around the time she was offered the role as Bugs and that she didn’t really know what she wanted to do with her life.

“It was my agent. I was in a weird space and I wasn’t really sure what I wanted to do. I think I was going through a quarter life crisis,” she said.

“I just took a second to think, ‘Am I doing this because I still want to do it and I love it, or am I doing this because it’s what I’m used to?,” she added.

Henwick says it wasn’t until she got back from a 40-day hike to clear her heard that she finally agreed to play the role.

The Matrix Resurrections is out now in cinemas.
