Joey King Reveals Her Engagement To Boyfriend Steven Piet
Actress Joey King reveals that she is engaged to her boyfriend of two years and a half years, Steven Piet.
The couple met on the set of Hulu’s acclaimed crime drama The Act, in which King starred as Gypsy Blanchard and Piet served as a director.
While best known for her role in the teen comedy film The Kissing Booth, King’s performance in The Act earned her nominations at the Emmy Awards and Golden Globes.
Taking to Instagram to share her engagement with fans on Tuesday, King could barely contain her joy, writing: “I never knew happiness could be so powerful that it can take the air from your lings, overwhelming every part of you that you can’t help but feel your eyes well from the undeniable joy.”
“I never knew that a person’s presence and heart could feel like a real home. I never knew love could be so unquestionably beautiful. I never knew until you. The date was 2/2/22 when you asked me to marry you and made me the luckiest lady alive.”
She continued, “I love you more than an Instagram caption could ever do justice. Hanging out with you forever sounds like a dream, so let’s do it.”
Accompanying the post were a series of pictures from the proposal, including one image of King’s impressive engagement ring.

Also taking to Instagram to celebrate the news, Piet posted a number of photos of the beaming couple: “The weather was less than perfect. Cold. Windy. Perfectly imperfect to ask my best friend to spend a lifetime together. A lifetime of incredibly safe and vulnerable conversations.”
