John Cena Hopeful His Character Will Return in Fast & Furious Sequel

John Cena has said that he wants to return to the Fast & Furious franchise and is hopeful his character will appear in the next instalment. 

Cena made his debut in the Fast & Furious franchise as Jakob Toretto in ‘F9’. He now hopes he will get to play the character again in ‘F10’ but warned that he is not “high enough” to make that decision.

Speaking to Insider Cena was asked if fans would see more of his character Jakob.

“I’m a fan. So, I want to say that I would love to see more Jakob. As the rookie on the squad, I’m not near high enough to make any of those decisions.” Cena said.

“I just really hope that the world enjoys ‘F9’. If they enjoy it, maybe I’ll get another shot.” He adds.

Cena plays the role of Jakub the long-lost brother of Vin Diesel‘s main character Dominic Toretto’s in ‘F9’. He explained that he had to keep the part a secret by taking off the Toretto cross whenever he was filming.

‘F9’ is available to watch now in cinemas.
