Julius Randle Wins Kia NBA ‘Most Improved Player’ Award
After receiving 98 first place votes and a total of 493 points, New York Knicks forward Julius Randle became the latest player to receive the Kia NBA Most Improved Player Award.
Julius averaged a total of 24.1 points, 10.2 rebounds and 6 assists per game across 71 games, playing an average 37.6 minutes a game during the 2020-2021 season.
Randle joined the Knicks back in July 2019 and has improved his game in multiple areas this season.
One area of his game that the forward improved on was from the three point line as the forward “made a career high 160 three-pointers.”
In the players previous five seasons, Randle had only made a total of 168, the NBA reports.

Other areas of the game Julius improved on was from the free throw line taking his shot percentage to 81.1 a new career high for the player.
Randle also matched his career high for rebounds, whilst setting new career highs for both points and assists.
The Knicks have also made the NBA PlayOffs for the first time since the 2012-2013 season and had a record of 41-31 in the Eastern Conference.
