K-pop star, Jung Joon-young, has been arrested following allegations made against the singer in relation to sex crimes.
The Seoul Central District Court issued a warrant to arrest the 30-year-old.
Allegations made against the artist include secretly filming sexually explicit videos of women, without consent or knowledge, and illegally sharing them with others in a private chat room.
Earlier this month, K-pop star Seung-ri retired from entertainment and music after similar allegations were made against him. In a shocking admission to the crimes, Jung said in a statement, “I admit to all my crimes. I filed women without their consent and shared it in a social media chatroom, and while I did so I didn’t feel a great sense of guilt.”
It is believed both Jung and Seung-ri are involved in the same, now a notorious, chat room. Our sources connected to the investigations in South Korea tell us, the allegations made against the singers go further than just Jung and Seung-ri, other K-pop stars include, Choi Jong-hoon — F.T. Island band member, Lee Jong-hyun of CNBlue and Yong Jun-hyung — Highlight singer.
We’re also told, it is common for Koreans that are involved in controversies to apologise — even if they are claiming to be innocent.
