Former K-Pop Star Seungri Indicted On Prostitution Charges

Former K-pop star, Lee Seung-hyun, better known as Seungri, has been indicted on prostitution charges.
The 29-year-old, who was a member of the boy band Big Bang, was indicted for allegedly organising prostitutes, habitual gambling and illegal foreign currency trade.
In March 2019, he left the entertainment industry after an investigation began into the allegations made against him. At the time, he posted on social media, “I just cannot bear causing any further damage to people around me, while being hated and criticised by the public and being treated as a nation’s enemy during the investigation,”
He was a public relations director at a nightclub in Gangnam called Burning Sun, which has since been closed, and he has been accused of using hidden cameras to film women along with using drugs and alcohol to sexually assault alleged victims.
Seungri was allegedly involved in a group chat that shared footage of women that were filmed without consent.
