Kathy Griffin Reveals Her Lung Cancer Diagnosis
Comedian Kathy Griffin has announced that she is having surgery after being diagnosed with stage-one lung cancer.
Griffin says that she has developed lung cancer but has never smoked.
“Yes, I have lung cancer even though I’ve never smoked!”
She announced to Twitter that she was “about to go into surgery to have half of my left lung removed.”
In the post, the comedian said that she is hopeful she will not have to undergo chemotherapy or radiation, and should “have normal function with my breathing.”
“I should be up and running around as usual in a month or less” she writes.

“It’s been a helluva four years, trying to get back to work, making you guys laugh and entertaining you, but I’m gonna be just fine,” the post reads.
She encourages fans and followers to “please stay up to date on your medical check-ups”.
“It’ll save your life.”
