Kid Cudi Mourns The Death Of His “Best Friend”
Kid Cudi says goodbye to his “best friend” in an emotional Instagram post.
The rapper took to his social media to pay tribute to his dog, Freshie, that recently passed away. He shared that he died “peacefully at home surrounded by people that love him. His family.”
Cudi recalls his last moments with the pup.
“I told him he was a special boy, my best friend, that he was perfect and that I loved him and I’ll miss him so so much. I felt his heart stop beating and felt his last breath.”

Freshie, his “special boy” and “best friend”, had been in his life for 11 years.
In the tribute, he explained that his dog helped him through his depression and suicidal thoughts. He told his followers that the sight of Freshie would dissuade him from committing suicide a number of times.
“Til we meet on the other side my beautiful special boy,” the post concludes.
