Kid Cudi To Star In Upcoming Brittany Snow Film

Rapper Kid Cudi is set to star in Brittany Snow’s forthcoming directorial debut film, September 17th. 

According to Variety, Cudi, whose real name is Scott Mescudi, was cast by Snow after the pair worked together as actors on A24’s new horror film X.

“I couldn’t believe that [Snow] wanted me in it. She had told me about the movie while we were on set [for X], but she never asked me to be in it. I was like, ‘Maybe she’s waiting to see how [X] turns out’,” Cudi said to the outlet.

“I can’t really speak to it too much, except that Scott’s doing a part in the movie, so that’s cool,” Snow also said to the outlet.

September 17th follows a woman called Riley who struggles with food and body image issues, and has recently been discharged from rehab. She later meets a man named Ethan and attempts to navigate the line between unconditional love and a new addiction.

Snow co-wrote the script for the film with Becca Gleason.
