Kiefer Sutherland has been “seriously injured,” after he slipped on the steps of a tour bus.
The 24 star announced on Thursday that he sustained an injury to a “rib,” after he slipped which has made it “difficult to breathe,”
He said, “Sadly I slipped on the steps of the bus whilst travelling to Denmark and seriously injured a rib, making it difficult to breathe and impossible to sing.
Regretfully, I will not be able to perform the last 3 shows of our tour, but have every [intention] of making up these shows in September/October when we return.”
The 52-year-old started the first leg of a huge European tour in January in Colorado before heading to Germany — promoting his new album, Reckless & Me which released in April.
He was scheduled to finish at the end of August, with the remaining shows being held in Grenaa, Denmark, Gothenburg on Sweden and Esbjerg, Denmark with the final leg in October.
Supporters of Kiefer began sending their support and re-visited his 24 character, with one fan saying, “Jack Bauer needs no ribs: he’s bulletproof.”
