Kim Kardashian‘s Met Gala masked date has been revealed – and it wasn’t Kanye West. 

Her bold and mysterious look was met with a wave of intrigue, but the biggest mystery was her masked date. The pair matched in faceless all-black ensembles.

Fans speculated whether her date was ex Kanye West, but the man by her side was actually creative director of Balenciaga, Demna Gvasalia.

A source told E!News that Kanye did actually introduce the two. The insider adds “this look on Kim is like a new subculture and fashion statement. No logo, no face, but everyone knows it’s her.”

Kim also explained her outfit. “What’s more American than a T-shirt head to toe?!”
