Kit Harington Opens Up About His Past Addiction

Games Of Thrones star Kit Harington has opened up in a new interview about his past alcohol addiction and the struggles he faced.

Speaking in a new interview with The Times, Harington spoke about the issues he faced with alcohol addiction both during and after the filming of Game of Thrones.

“Things that have happened to me since Thrones ended, and that were happening during Thrones, were of a pretty traumatic nature and they did include alcohol,” the actor said.

“You get to a place where you feel like you are a bad person, you feel like you are a shameful person. And you feel that there’s no way out,” he added.

“I will give you an answer to that question: the answer is yes. Yes of course,” Harrington said when the interviewer asked if he had ever felt suicidal.

The actor eventually went on to overcome his addiction after a long spell of treatment.

Harrington took a year-long break from acting before returning with one episode of the anthology series Modern Love.
