E! News has obtained a court filing from June 14th in which Washington state prosecutors have accused the star of “communicating with immoral purposes”.
The girl was 13 years old at the time and is now 16.
According to the filing, Massey allegedly “believed” she was a minor when messaging her “for immoral purposes of a sexual nature.”
However, The mother of the girl has told authorities that her daughter was receiving “explicit material” from Massey. She also shares that he has known her daughter since she was 4 years old and that he knew her age.
Massey did not show to his court date on June 28th when he was summoned. He is prohibited from having contact with minor children “except in the presence of a responsible adult.” He also cannot use the internet without a computer monitoring system to track his “sexually explicit communication” with minors.
In 2019, the Cory In The House star denied these claims. His attorney provided E! News with a statement which reads:
“No child should ever be exposed to sexually explicit materials and I unequivocally and categorically deny any alleged misconduct. In early 2019, Plaintiff’s attorneys demanded $1.5 million threatening to go public to destroy my career if I did not comply.”
He went on, “My family and I rejected this extortion attempt, because I have faith that the legal process will reveal the truth. I have retained attorney Lee A. Hutton to guide my family and me through the process and I ask my fans and the general public not to jump to conclusions based on the allegations alone but reserve judgment until the whole story comes to light, proving these allegations baseless.”
Massey and his rep are yet to comment on these recent events.
