Kylian Mbappé is reportedly edging closer to a move to Spanish giants Real Madrid.
The French superstar was close to making the switch last summer, but current club Paris Saint-Germain refused to sell and now risk losing him for free when his contract expires at the end of the season.
Bild is now reporting that both Mbappé and Real Madrid have reached an agreement for the 23-year-old to play at the Bernabeu next season.
The World Cup winner has long been a priority for Madrid president Florentino Perez.
Given the lack of a transfer free, Mbappé could be on course to receive one of the most lucrative contracts in footballing history.
The report suggests he could be set to earn an eye-watering £40+ million per season in wages, pre tax, which is around £800,000 per week.
While there has been no official confirmation as of yet, the interest from Los Blancos has never been that of a secret, and could antagonise their upcoming Champions League clash with the French club.
Paris Saint-Germain will face Real Madrid in the last sixteen of the competition this month.
