Lauren Jauregui Opens Up About Being Outed
Former member of Fifth Harmony Lauren Jauregui has opened up about being outed as bisexual when she was younger.
Talking on the latest episode of Red Table Talk: The Estefans, Jauregui revealed the struggles of being outed to the internet before she had a chance to tell anyone herself.
Fans had found a picture of the singer and then-girlfriend, Lucy Vives, drunkenly kissing at her uncle’s wedding – but it didn’t really go viral until it was shared by gossip columnist Perez Hilton.
“He definitely outed me,” she said. “I wasn’t ready because I’m also Latina.”
“There was a whole looming thing of ‘what is my community going to feel about me? are they going to accept me?’ I know that my family obviously accepted me.
“But was that something that I was willing to deal with on a public scale?”
Since the airing of the interview, Perez Hilton hit back on Twitter.

He goes on to say, in a reply, that he would do it again.
