Lorde has postponed the New Zealand and Australia dates for her Solar Power tour which were set to begin in February next year.
The 25-year-old singer was forced to reschedule her 2022 dates and push them back one year due to the uncertainty around the current COVID-19 outbreak in the two countries.
Lorde has released a statement about the decision for Frontier Touring.
“Starting the tour in New Zealand was always really important to me, and would have been a huge high.”
“I fought this decision for a long time, but the truth is that touring internationally through a Covid outbreak has a ton of unforeseen moving parts, and I’d much rather play for you when we’re all confident it will go smoothly.”
“I want to apologise wholeheartedly to the fans. I’m so gutted to let you down, but so grateful for your understanding.”
The tickets already bought by fans will still be available for the new rescheduled dates while the tickets for the new added dates will go on sale on November 19.
