Pop sensation Lorde will no longer be performing at the VMA’s “a change in production elements.”
The show tweeted out a friendly message regarding New-Zealand’s premier onion-ring critic absence;
Due to a change in production elements, Lorde can no longer perform at this year’s show. We love Lorde and cannot wait for her to perform on the VMA stage in the future! ?

The cryptic message of “a change in production elements” has left some guessing what this actually means.
AV Power guessed Covid as a possible reason for the stars absence.
Deadline pointed out that her 2017 VMA’s performance was replaced with a interpretive dance routine due to the star having flu.
The performance was set to feature performance’s from the No.1 album Solar Power.
Solar Power is Lorde’s third No.1 album, following Melodrama and Pure Heroine.
