Lucy Boynton To Play Marie Antoinette In ‘Chevalier’

Lucy Boynton will play Marie Antoinette in Searchlight’s new film biopic ‘Chevalier de Saint-Georges‘.

Deadline reports that Boynton will be starring opposite Kelvin Harrison Jr. Samara Weaving will also feature.

The feature, directed by Stephen Williams, follows Saint-Georges – the illegitimate child of an African slave and French plantation owner – born in 1745. The film will follow his rise in prominence and his fall from grace following a disagreement with Marie Antoinette.

Lucy Boynton’s last on-screen appearance was in Doug Liman’s romantic comedy heist film, Locked Down. In 2018 Boyton also starred opposite Rami Malek in Bohemian Rhapsody.
