Mayim Bialik Replaces Mike Richards As Host Of ‘Jeopardy!’

Mayim Bialik will host the first 15 episodes of the 38th season of Jeopardy!.

Collider confirmed the news as the quiz show continues production this week.

Bialik, best known for her role in The Big Bang Theory, currently stars in comedy series Call Me Kat. Scheduling commitments to the show prevented her casting in Jeopardy! earlier in the year.

Previous host, Mike Richards, resigned his position due to backlash over controversial comments he had made on The Randumb Show podcast. He was accused of making discriminatory and sexist remarks during his time hosting the show between 2013 and 2014.

Richards completed just one day of filming before his removal from the show.

The show is due to air on September 13.
